The Givers Gain Network Rally is proud to support 15 outstanding local charities, all members of BNI, with the aim of raising £25,000 to make a real difference in our community. Each charity plays a vital role in improving lives across the region, and this event provides a unique opportunity to bring them together, celebrate their work, and help fund the essential services they provide. By participating in or supporting the Rally, you become part of a collective effort to empower these organisations and the people they serve.
Meet the charities
Aphasia Re-Connect supports individuals with aphasia and other acquired communication disabilities. Through weekly and monthly face-to-face groups, as well as online sessions, they provide a peer support network that fosters confidence, well-being, and community engagement. Collaborating with students and professionals from City, University of London, Aphasia Re-Connect ensures that people with aphasia are at the heart of service development, empowering them to lead fulfilling lives. Their mission is to create a world where individuals with aphasia enjoy a life rich in opportunity and inclusion.
Bromley Children and Families Forum (BCFF) supports over 250 local groups working with children, young people, and families. They provide information, training, and networking opportunities to help strengthen local services and improve community impact. By collaborating with statutory agencies and representing the sector on key boards, BCFF ensures the voices of its members are heard and their needs are met. Through community initiatives and events, they bring organisations together, fostering engagement and delivering support to families across the borough.
Bexley Deaf Centre provides vital support to Deaf and hard of hearing individuals in Bexley. Their services include British Sign Language (BSL) courses, hearing aid clinics, lip reading classes, job support, and advocacy. The Centre also delivers Deaf awareness training to schools, businesses, and local organisations, helping to create inclusive environments. Established in 1986, Bexley Deaf Centre has become a trusted resource, empowering the community, promoting equal access to services, and enabling individuals to participate fully in everyday life.
Bexley Mencap supports adults with learning disabilities and autism in the Bexley area. They offer services including independent living support, family assistance, healthy lifestyles programmes, and advocacy through their Quality Checkers and Pathways initiatives. Their social groups—such as Keep Fit Club, Respect in Bexley, and Walking Football – provide opportunities for social engagement and skill development. Through these services, Bexley Mencap empowers individuals to lead fulfilling lives and promotes inclusion within the community.
Bexley Moorings Project has been supporting young people and families in Bexley since 1981. They offer a range of services, including one-to-one befriending, weekly group sessions, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and parental support networks. These services aim to promote well-being, build self-esteem, and foster resilience among young individuals facing challenges. Through strong local partnerships and dedicated volunteers, Bexley Moorings Project continues to be a vital resource, creating brighter futures for young people and stronger, more connected families.
CANDI (Creative and Neuro-Diverse Innovations) is a community-led organisation in Bromley, supporting the neurodiverse and wider community through inclusive, affordable, and creative opportunities. Central to their mission is Rhiannon’s Café, a welcoming hub where individuals can connect and develop new skills. CANDI offers events, enterprise opportunities, and volunteering initiatives, all aimed at fostering confidence, social interaction, and personal growth. By creating safe and welcoming spaces, CANDI empowers individuals to thrive and shine in their own unique ways.
CASPA has been supporting autistic individuals and their families in Bromley since 2002. They provide a wide range of services, including age-specific social clubs, holiday activities, and family support programmes. Through initiatives such as drama, sports, and arts sessions, CASPA fosters community engagement, skill development, and self-advocacy. By creating inclusive environments and tailored support, CASPA empowers individuals to lead fulfilling lives and promotes greater understanding and inclusion within the local community.
ChildAid to Eastern Europe supports vulnerable children and young people in Belarus, Moldova, and Ukraine. Through short- and long-term aid and development initiatives, they collaborate with local partners to improve the quality of life for abused, abandoned, and neglected children from extremely poor families, orphans, and disabled children. Their motivation is Christian, but help is unconditional. By providing essential services and support, ChildAid aims to transform the lives of the most disadvantaged children and young people in these regions.
Evolve Housing + Support provides housing and support to over 1,000 people each year across London, including Bromley. Their Bromley services—Charles Darwin House, Lewis King House, and Allum House—offer supported accommodation for individuals aged 18 to 65 with a range of support needs. Residents receive personalised 1:1 support, empowering them to make decisions and participate in activities and workshops. Evolve’s holistic approach aims to help individuals regain independence and stability, breaking the cycle of homelessness and fostering long-term positive change.
First Aid 4 All delivers life-saving first aid training to children and young people through schools, youth groups, and community programmes. Led by active paramedics, their hands-on, age-appropriate sessions give participants the confidence to respond effectively in emergencies. Using interactive exercises, real-life scenarios, and practical instruction, First Aid 4 All equips children with essential skills while fostering responsibility, awareness, and compassion. By empowering young people in this way, they help create a safer, more confident, and prepared community for everyone.
Holding On Letting Go (HOLG) provides free, specialist bereavement support to children, young people, and families in Kent and South East London. They offer both pre- and post-bereavement services, including one-to-one support, group sessions, and community outreach. HOLG also delivers tailored training for professionals and volunteers working with grieving children. By helping families navigate grief, HOLG fosters resilience and healing, ensuring that young people have the support they need during difficult times.
Rowland Brothers Foundation provides free, professional bereavement support to individuals and families in Croydon and the surrounding areas. Established in 1984 and registered as a charity in 2017, the foundation offers one-to-one counselling, group sessions, and community drop-ins, assisting those navigating the complexities of grief. They also provide bereavement training to schools and other organisations. Through their compassionate services, Rowland Brothers Foundation helps individuals cope with loss and find a path toward healing.
SLAWA (South London African Women Association) supports African women in exile across England and Wales, with branches in London, Birmingham, and Brazzaville (Congo). They provide financial assistance, promote integration, and offer training in IT, ESOL, and sewing to build skills and knowledge. SLAWA also operates food banks, offering essential support to women in need. Through these services, SLAWA empowers women to reach their full potential and contribute to a more equitable society.
Survivors of Abuse (SoB) is a Bromley-based charity dedicated to supporting adult survivors of emotional, physical, sexual abuse, and neglect. Through their Breaking The Cycle C.L.E.A.N.E.R. Living Therapy programme, SoB empowers individuals to reclaim control over their lives by focusing on mindset, nutrition, fitness, and stress management. This trauma-informed approach helps build resilience and improve both mental and physical health for the long term, fostering a path toward healing and recovery.
YABAC FC is a not-for-profit community organisation in Bromley, dedicated to supporting local communities and organisations through fundraising and sponsorship. With over 50 years of football and friendship, YABAC FC promotes positive change for young people and the community through their love of football and social activities. They engage with charities, grassroots groups, and education services, offering opportunities to create lasting partnerships. By empowering and inspiring the next generation, YABAC FC aims to leave a legacy of positive impact both on and off the pitch.
